VERECHT is an experimental project that starts from the need to feel. And especially: to make you feel.

It is a scenographic setting that invites movement, reflection and confusion. A space where disappearing and appearing can form a storyline together.

I explore how one material — mirror foil — evokes a different experience each time through light, distortion and position. Not as a fixed image, but as a starting point.

The setting leaves room for interpretation. Whoever steps inside determines how it unfolds: a maze, a path, a series of encounters with yourself. The setting changes each time, depending on who is working with it.

VERECHT is a temporary setting. A space that waits.

The prefix ‘ver-’ makes things disappear, diminish, leave.

But there is no such thing as ‘verecht’. No word that makes something real.

So I made it. As a work, and as a word.
