For my bachelor project, I designed a rooftop community in Ghent South: a gray, boring, and bare place that, despite its potential, is not being used to its fullest. With this temporary installation, I want to brighten up the space and transform it into a place where people can meet.

The basis consists of a grid structure filled with three elements: a canopy made of sails, resting places, and a path. Each element was given its own bright color, which creates a recognizable identity. Together, they create an interaction that reinforces a sense of community. The whole is an eye-catcher in the city, where meeting, rest, and movement come together.
