Reallocation Chapel Sleidinge — Architectural concept
The intervention in the Sleidinge chapel starts from an autonomous steel structure on a rational grid, carefully attuned to the existing window rhythm. This structure organises the new functions — social grocery, bar and seating area — without affecting the historic character of the building.
The neo-Gothic windows were extended to floor level to draw in more light and strengthen the relationship with the outdoor space. The result is an understated yet powerful transformation where heritage, light and social function come together in a contemporary whole.
