Morph-Chair is a modular chair inspired by traditional African stools, but completely reinvented in form and function. Whereas the original stools are characterized by simplicity and minimal variation, Morph-Chair deliberately plays with sharp peaks, blunt angles, and pronounced geometric contrasts.The design is based on a distorted and decontextualized dovetail joint, a classic construction principle that has been completely reworked and transformed into a defining element. This is also where the name Morph comes from, derived from the English word ‘morphing’, which refers to a gradual change in shape.Morph-Chair can transform into two completely different seating objects, with the position of the legs changing in particular. These shifts offer a variety of seating positions.
