Blue Scaffold is a temporary installation designed to foster connection between the local and queer communities, while offering support to queer youth experiencing homelessness. Built from blue-painted scaffolding, tarp, and wood, the structure is both practical and socially engaged — a modular space for care, gathering, and dialogue.

At its centre is the event hub, aimed at strengthening bonds between communities. Attached is a bleacher leading to a rooftop terrace. A bar, a long-table shelter, a kiosk, and a safety hub equipped with showers and lockers complete the installation.

By organising events and selling products from the local community, part of the proceeds go to a fund supporting homeless queer youth. In return, they help set up and run these events — gaining valuable skills along the way.

Blue Scaffold is a haven in flux — a framework that holds space for joy, for care, for conversation. It is not permanent, but it is present. A temporary haven for those building a more connected, inclusive city.
