Herbestemming oud schoolgebouw, De Pinte

interior design

For my graduation project in the interior design programme, I chose to reuse an old school building in the centre of De Pinte. The design breathes new life into the building with a social and sustainable concept that strengthens the neighbourhood.

The new interpretation consists of a packaging-free neighbourhood shop with local products, and a lunch bar where visitors can enjoy dishes prepared with local ingredients. The drinks menu also reflects this local character, with beers, lemonades and juices from the region.

With respect for the existing architecture and consideration for contemporary needs, this project creates an inviting, multifunctional place where old and new meet.
