WAITING FOR THE COOKIES is a performance that is created out of my fascination of and by gender. It invites you into a space suspended from time. A softened space. A space where we may become aquanauts in the plunge pool of care.

Here, slowness is not hesitation, it is resistance. It is presence. What does it mean when gestures are seen as ‘feminine’? Can we, as women*, love these acts like cleaning, cooking, baking and crocheting without blindly accepting the roles they’re tied to? But what if visibility, not protest, is the beginning of reimagining?

WAITING FOR THE COOKIES is a place where being, caring, and maintaining begin to blur. Where waiting becomes a way of doing.
