My bachelor’s project takes its starting point from an existing pick-your-own garden in Roeselare, where nature, craftsmanship and community are central. The site comprises two houses and two barns, where flowers, herbs and honey are already produced and workshops and events are held.

With my design, I aim to further develop this place into a welcoming meeting place where people can slow down and enjoy the garden. The existing buildings will be repurposed into a cooking studio, a shop, an events/workshop space, B&B rooms and a living space for the owners. There will also be space for storage and the processing of flowers and honey. The aim is to preserve the charm of the site whilst creating a vibrant place that brings people together.
