The Bijlokesite is currently perceived as a collection of separate buildings, each defined by its own programme. As a result, the campus feels fragmented: circulation connects the spaces, but leaves little room for interaction, lingering or shared experiences.

This design introduces a temporary spatial layer that makes the site legible once more through light and movement. A continuous line of light traverses the campus, connecting functions, places and users into a single coherent route. The line is more than a path: it forms a succession of spatial moments that encourage people to slow down, meet and interact.

Along the route, different atmospheres emerge, ranging from quiet resting spots to zones for collective and cultural engagement. Seating areas, hammocks and temporary installations create new ways of lingering amongst the existing buildings. The modular and demountable system can adapt to changing situations, such as the Graduation Show.
