This project has roots in a Persian ceremony called Mir-e-Nowruzi. The carnivalesque ritual of electing a commoner to rule for one to five days over the country. Mir-e-Nowruzi enjoys considerable authority, including the prerogative to punish his subjects.

With the help of augmented reality, Mir-e-Nowruzi will be an outdoor multiplayer game.

The leading role of the game is the commoner who runs the game. The king/queen gives every player a role as a minister. It/She/He commands them to interact with specific AR content in different places.

This in flux collective of musicians, visual artists and performers experiment with the cross-over between movement and sound. Based on a collective improvisation where notation, sound en gestures flow together to create ambient spheres of experimental music filled with color and texture. In an attempt to go beyond the possible search of a potential of something that is yet to become.

This project is part of the Master research of Leonardo Melchionda (Master student of Contemporary Music) and Lyra Oey (Master of Visual Arts at KASK & Conservatory).

For the Graduation show, on the opening night 30th of June, Lyra will improvise together with Leonardo and Ira and document a new visual performative trace. On Saturday the 2nd of July, the archive canvas containing 5 performance traces by then will be activated as a graphic score.

Other is an interactive storytelling project about internet censorship in Iran.

Every 45 minutes a new performance session starts. The starting hours can be found on spot.

Memory is often used as the synonym of accumulation, gathering the nice or bad moments, keeping a trace of the object, a special day or a memorable occasion; but this is not about keeping the memory; this is about sharing the moment, about caring and easing the pain.

The performance only takes a few minutes.

Een reeks tekeningen gebaseerd op een lijn die start van een regel. Een richtlijn. Een lijn die zich afvraagt wat zijn positie in het blad is, die de randen aftast en verdwaald.

Ik vul een reeks aan die al aan de muur hangt. Elke dag van Graduation komt er eentje bij. Ik maak deze ter plaatse en hang ze tussen de anderen. Telkens kom ik met nieuwe inspiratie en verhoud ik me tot het werk dat er al hangt. De tekening zoals ik ze maak in mijn atelier. Of net de gang die ik beschouw als een atelier.

QUESTIONMARK is een artistiek onderzoek waarbij Marthe Leon elke maand, voor 1 dag in de week samen met een andere artiest werkt. Dit eindigt elke maand in een nieuw toonmoment.

Een zoektocht naar plezier en productiviteit. Een zoektocht naar een beeldtaal die even autoritair als woorden kan zijn.

Dit jaar deed ze opeenvolgende samenwerkingen met verschillende artiesten uit verschillende mediums, vertrekkende van:

een plaats: de grote studio van performance
een tijd: elke week een dagdeel, gedurende 1 maand, daarna 1 avond een toonmoment
een object: een grote kartonnen doos

Ze werkt samen met: Max Colonne (master Drama,KASK), Linde Vandecruys (Afgestudeerd master Mode, KASK), Ferenc Balcaen (Master Drama, Regie, Ritcs), Chloë Van Hamme (Master vrije kunsten, KASK) en Aïsha Gailliaert (Master vrije Kunsten, KASK).

Voor de graduation haalt ze samen met Emma Verstraete (Drama, KASK) een van de samenwerkingen van onder het stof.
