Lily! Pianist Will Interrupt Must Return is a performative piece that starts from sustained attention towards the present tense.
The first question was : how to structure a performance starting from an extremely simple approach to polyphony and dance, and how to address notions of proximity, confidence, and transmission from within the perspective of sound improvisation.
Improvisation is here considered as both a state of method and thought, a suspended land of negotiation between personal background and real-time decision making; it is a state of remembering and learning at the same time, that deals with principles of confidence towards the self and the audience, drawing a collective way of proceeding in the present and a delicate strategy of resistance against a prepacked way of act and being.
Lily! Pianist Will Stop Must Return is also a method to enquiry proximity and what it means to deliver through practice, and what happens when the transmission is somehow interrupted ?
All left is –

ceiling fan and a flying flower.
