My sculptures are hybrid creatures. I take various animal and human elements and fuse them together to create a new being. For me, there is no clear hierarchy between humans and animals; they are equal and are used in the same way.

The hybrid creatures are entirely white, which creates a sense of cohesion but also a certain distance from the viewer. They seem close and tangible, yet they inhabit a world of which, as a viewer, you are never fully a part.

Humour plays an important role in my work. I love images that are playful and strange but at the same time feel a little uncomfortable. I also try to explore that tension in my work.
