“Precarity is the condition of being vulnerable to others. Unpredictable encounters transform us; we are not in control, even of ourselves. Unable to rely on a stable structure of community, we are thrown into shifting assemblages, which remake us as well as others. We can’t rely on the status quo; everything is in flux (…)” – Anna L. Tsing, The Mushroom at the End of the World

“(…) if people would simply rub their palms together just once, and comprehend that mysterious skin-to-skin contact fully, their understanding of the world would be better.” – Shokoofeh Azar, The Enlightenment of the Greengage Tree

With the project and young collective NOON we create a series of performative installations in which imagination is used as a tool to connect, to come together.

NOON always departs from the bodies. The awareness of – and connection with – our body could be the first step to connect human beings with their environment – again, but differently, and who knows – with each other. We are trying to look at the world and at ourselves from a different perspective, the perspective of a body which is part of a bigger system and one of the many creatures within this world, all in certain specific ways dependent on each other. Within the different performances we continue our search.

NOON III tries to create a world where different creatures are dependent on each other, a world which is constantly transforming. Here we are looking for a moment to encounter you, to pay attention to one another / to imagine, dance and rest together.

The work premieres internally, due to the Corona crisis, as a masterproject within KASK Drama April 22-25 2021. Hopefully we will soon be able to invite you to the work with more human bodies and more abilities to touch.
