Over the course of the academic year 2025–26 I have made a garden with a greenhouse at the Bijloke Campus of KASK & Conservatorium, Ghent. Since October 2025 I have been writing about and documenting the gestures of collecting, building, making and using it. The garden and greenhouse came together through salvaged materials and contributions from the people and the environment surrounding the site. For nine months it has been a temporary addition to a previously unused corridor of the campus, and has functioned as a shared space of gatherings, workshops and social interactions. The whole process has engaged a particular attention to care and the sociality of such a place, through acts of building and gardening.
