If you listen closely, you can hear it: the faint, persistent murmur of commerce is whispering your name in the wind, with undertones of passion, innocence, aspiration, nostalgia and masquerade. The images are everywhere – hanging in your street, flickering on your screen, lingering in your mind palace. The world is saturated by them, shaped by the stories they tell and our inability to escape these narratives. Long before you have the language to name it, you are formed in their presence. Long before you’re experiencing, you’re rehearsing.

And yet: is it truly harmful to take comfort in the role we are given? Who, after all, has the privilege to refuse the promises of desire — its glamour, its softness, its rehearsed fantasies of success, beauty, intimacy, and belonging? What desire remains when everything has already been filtered, packaged, and sold back to us? What is still ours, if anything at all?

That is where the IMAGE REHEARSALS begin.
