Game-based digitalisation in part-time arts education

How can we bridge the gap between analogue craftsmanship and digital technology in arts education? Within part-time arts education (DKO), many young people (aged 12–18) struggle with ‘digital fatigue’ or screen fatigue, whilst teachers often face technological barriers. In my practice-oriented master project, I investigated how a game-based didactic toolkit, the so-called ‘verspakket’, can effectively lower these barriers.

Inspired by the concept of meal kits, the ‘verspakket’ offers a ready-to-use, tangible box containing all the necessary portion-controlled instructions, step-by-step plans and materials to provide an introduction to digital resources in the world of art.
