As a contemporary hunter-gatherer, I give a second life to objects that others have discarded. In my sculptures, I transform waste material into physical forms – fragile, monstrous, hybrid. What was once useless is given a new skin, a new voice.

My work plays with the tension between beauty and repulsion. Sculptures arise intuitively, guided by chance, tangibility and memory.

I am fascinated by the uncomfortable, the deformed, the unknown. By using residual materials, PUR, melted plastic or weathered objects, I explore how aesthetics arise – and who determines what is beautiful or ugly.
