Prohibido olvidarme explores the meaning of home beyond the idea of the house, reclaiming public space as a space of collective care, presence, and belonging. If inhabiting means leaving a trace, the project reflects on how we can leave collective traces of care within the city.
The project creates temporary open living rooms in public space alongside Bulle across different areas of Brussels through encounters, drawing, listening, sharing music, food, memories, dreams, and everyday stories. Drawing becomes a universal language through which moments of dialogue, care and collective presence emerge. Through drawings about home, memory, care, and belonging, people share personal experiences.
The project understands home not only as a physical place, but as something we carry within us through memory, relationships, rituals, and care. Through these shared moments, the public space can temporarily become a collective home where everyone’s stories, memories, and presence are welcomed.
