When I was young I read countless stories of knights and dragons, of gnomes and goblins. My dreams told many tales of good versus evil, where good would always prevail. God spoke to me in my dreams, directly to me, can you believe that? I forgot exactly what it was he was trying to say but that was of little importance to me. Regardless, the countless curiosities darting through my brisk brain gave me little time to reflect, but at some point in life you have to grow up. The fantastical figments of my impulsive imagination eventually gave way. With growing up comes a whole new range of fears and paranoid habits; The goal of my book is to confront these worries with the creative enthusiasm of childhood. Hold fast and forge on to greener pastures of the brazen bolts of incessant inspiration.
The book explores a world in which suspicious normality is silently corroded by unmanageable make-believe. The story shows a world of routine and responsibility slowly ripping at the seams. Under this blatantly boring façade a deep sense of paranoia lingers. Even here, ghosts and afterimages dance in the corner of the eye. The story is an odyssey of exploring these curiosities that linger under the surface of our world.
Taking its inspiration from folklore and myth, but also from the wilderness that is creativity.
Let us now wake the sleeping dragon of childlike wonder from its ancient slumber.
