For my graduation concert, I’ve chosen a program that reflects the composers who have shaped me most deeply as a pianist. These are works I have lived with and grown through—each one revealing a different part of who I am as a musician. The journey spans from the Baroque to the 20th century.

I begin with a Prelude and Fugue by J.S. Bach, whose music offers structure, purity, and timeless clarity. Then comes Beethoven, a composer I hold in the highest regard. I feel a deep connection with him—not only through his music, but through shared experience. There was a time in my life when I was also physically limited in my ability to make music. Beethoven’s perseverance and ability to transform adversity into passionate and profound music continue to inspire me.The program moves into the technical brilliance and emotional intensity of Liszt, and then into the color-rich world of Debussy. His harmonies open new spaces where music becomes free

The concert concludes with the music of Chopin, where I feel most at home. In Chopin’s intimate language I find a deep sense of belonging, vulnerability, and truth. His music allows me to speak without words, and I can think of no better way to close this personal journey.
