Stranded in a seemingly abandoned supermarket, a lonely employee finds companionship in the waste that surrounds her.

Overripe examines the supermarket as a space of contradictions: community and coldness, abundance and waste. There is an artificiality to every interaction, every perfectly stocked item, but the rotting fruit tells the truth. Whether or not we embrace the fragile imperfections of life–the mold, the bruises, the ugliness, the rot–they are inevitabilities. Even in isolation, peaches will spoil.
