With hand and heart, I embark on this journey, driven by my obsession with the objects that are so closely tied to us, each carrying an intrinsic life story born from the relationship between person and thing.
In a world overflowing with soulless, mass-produced items, where quantity is mistaken for happiness, we have lost touch with ourselves and the physical world around us. Hence, a radical gesture is needed to help us reconnect.
Through the slow and careful act of making with intention, I’ve felt joy and fulfilment, but also anxiety and sadness—all vital in the crafting of precious things. By documenting these experienced uncertainties through words and images, I attempt to make visible the hidden dialogues unfolding between maker and making.
These knitted creatures radiate a certain aura, intuitively connecting us to them. I share the knowledge and feelings bound by thread, just as my mother once shared her passion for craft, in the hope of inspiring someone to make with intent, to find happiness in slowness once again.
