For his final-year project as a pop drummer, Siebert De Ruyver composed an entirely new soundtrack for a shortened version of Wim Wenders’ film Perfect Days. In doing so, he explored how music can transform the emotional significance and rhythmic experience of film. Drawing on his own musical identity, he created an alternative soundscape that complements the film’s tranquil and repetitive atmosphere. In addition to drums, he also uses percussion and the vibraphone, which serve not merely as accompaniment but as a narrative voice that helps shape tension, dynamics and emotion.

Of course, he does not do this alone and is delighted to share the stage with Dennis Bleus (guitar), Sam Vanden Bogaert (keys/synth) and Anthony Windels (bass guitar).

Together, they invite the audience to experience Perfect Days from a new audiovisual perspective, at the Minardschouwburg on 25 June at 9.30 pm.
