In a rugged, medieval underworld, a young woman finds solace in her self-created reality, until a hidden secret from the past forces her to confront her true existence.
SYNOPSIS
In an underground, medieval-style world, Mabelia works tirelessly to fulfill the whims of the capricious Queen Adora. What she doesn’t know is that Adora has used dark magic to erase all her memories of the blood bond that once connected them as mother and daughter. Thus, Mabelia remains trapped in a constant state of submission, unaware that the queen she serves is actually her mother. Plagued by this transgenerational trauma, Mabelia increasingly retreats into a self-created inner world—an alternate reality with its own logic, full of expansive landscapes that appeal to the imagination, deep silence, tranquility, sunlight, and security. This world stands in stark contrast to Adora’s rough and chaotic underground empire, where unbridled social norms prevail and a mysterious “dance plague” reigns. As the film progresses, Mabelia gradually begins to unravel Adora’s dark secret. Through mystical encounters and disembodied voices, she discovers clues that will eventually lead her back to the underground world. There, an intense confrontation with Adora awaits, culminating in a grand musical dance scene that will give Mabelia a new perspective on the chaotic Underworld and her own place in it.
