What began as Sam Waters’ graduation concert in piano at the Conservatory of Ghent has grown into a reflection of a year spent searching for sound across borders. During his final year, Sam travelled, studied, listened, and connected with musicians rooted in different musical traditions. These encounters now come together on stage in a concert shaped by world jazz, Hindustani classical music, handpan textures, improvisation, and trance-like soundscapes. Joined by Koné Moerman, SeppeSitar, Inigo Grau, Rik Baeyens, Suheir Abdul Rasol, and Yamen Martini, Sam brings together an unusual mix of instruments, voices, rhythms, and cultures. Expect a unique listening experience where unconventional instruments meet, creating a blend of sounds you most likely haven’t heard before.
