Yaron Persoon, Park Borrekensveld

Om van het Borrekensveld een aangename omgeving te maken hebben we bepaalde ambities vooropgesteld. Zo hebben we:
– de huidige structuur geoptimaliseerd;
– logische en functionele vormen van circulatie toegevoegd;
– het waterbeleid omgevormd tot maximaal waterbehoud;
– de groene versnippering omgevormd tot een groen geheel;
– nieuwe belevingsvormen geïntegreerd: voor elk wat wil;
– de straat autoluwer gemaakt en verharding sterk gereduceerd.

De combinatie van deze ambities met een speelse vormgeving heeft geleid tot het creëren van Buurtpark Borrekensveld.

In order to make the Borreken Field a pleasant environment, we have set certain ambitions. Thus, we have:
– optimised the current structure;
– added logical and functional forms of circulation;
– transformed the water policy into maximum water conservation;
– transformed the green fragmentation into a green whole;
– integrated new forms of experience: something for everyone;
– made the street less car-intensive and greatly reduced the amount of surfacing.

The combination of these ambitions with a playful design has led to the creation of the Borrekensveld neighbourhood park.
