Vic Volckaert, Het Breeven, Natuurlijk actief

Deze pagina gaat over de bachelorproef van Vic Volckaert, een student aan het KASK en Conservatorium te Gent. Het behandelt het recreatie- en sportpark Breeven te Bornem, een
locatie met een rijke en leerzame geschiedenis die sinds de jaren 70 eigendom is van de gemeente Bornem.
Sindsdien is het uitgegroeid tot een omvangrijk sportpark waar verschillende sporten zowel binnen als buiten clubverband beoefend kunnen worden. Desondanks ontbreekt er iets in het Breeven, er is weinig samenhang en er heerst grote onduidelijkheid over het hele terrein. Hoe is dit kunnen ontstaan en wat zijn de mogelijke oplossingen en kansen die het Breeven ons biedt?

Since then it has grown into an extensive sports park where various sports are played both indoors and outdoors
can be practiced. Nevertheless, there is something missing in Breeven, there is little coherence and there is a lot of it
uncertainty about the entire area. How did this come about and what are the possible solutions and opportunities that Breeven offers us?
