Papillon: A Sense of Place is an installation that explores the notion of a place and the way in which we perceive and experience atmospheres. Through the collection of partial images of landscapes, writings, sounds and materialised photographs, Papillon actively encourages dialogue with the viewer.
Being up close and face to face with the work enables a personal and timed interaction with it.

Papillon: A Sense of Place is een installatie dat het gegeven van een plek ontleedt, en onderzoekt hoe we vaak onbewuste impulsen of sferen waarnemen en ervaren. Doorheen de verzameling van fragmentarische stukken van een landschap, geschriften, klank en gematerialiseerde foto’s, moedigt Papillon dialoog met de kijker aan.
Het dichtbij zijn en oog in oog staan met het werk, stelt ons in staat om een persoonlijke interactie met deze tijdelijke omgeving te creëren.
