Sofie Neirinck, One Baelskaai

SITUERING:
In 2014 is Versluys Groep gestart met de bouw en ontwikkeling van de Oosteroever, een nieuwe trendy stadswijk in de historische haven van Oostende. One Baelskaai, van architectenbureau Binst Architects voor Versluys groep, is één van deze nieuwbouwprojecten. Het project omvat de bouw van meerdere exclusieve appartementen, ondergrondse garages en kelders en 2 commerciële panden op de gelijkvloerse verdieping.

ONS AFSTUDEERPROJECT:
Onze opdracht omvat de inrichting van het gelijkvloerse winkelpand met doorbreking naar de eerste verdieping toe. We kregen de vrijheid om deze ruimte in te richten voor een high end merk naar keuze.

MIJN KEUZE:
Ik koos ervoor om het winkelpand in te richten voor het modehuis The Row.
Zij hebben als doelpubliek gedistingeerde, welgestelde en kunstzinnige mannen en vrouwen. Hun winkels zijn een mix van kunst, design en seizoensgebonden collecties in een verfijnd kader met een ontspannen en comfortabele sfeer.

INTRODUCTION:
In 2014, Versluys Groep started the construction and development of the Oosteroever, a new trendy city neighbourhood in the historic port of Ostend. One Baelskaai, designed by architectural firm Binst Architects for Versluys Group, is one of these new construction projects. The project includes the construction of several exclusive flats, underground garages and cellars and 2 commercial properties on the ground floor.

OUR GRADUATION PROJECT:
Our assignment includes the design of the ground floor retail building with an opening to the first floor. We were given the freedom to furnish this space for a high-end brand of our choice.

MY CHOICE:
I chose to design the interior of the shop for fashion house The Row.
Their target audience is distinguished, wealthy and artsy men and women. Their shops are a mix of art, design and seasonal collections in a sophisticated setting with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
