Pieter Simons, The Journey
Some people embark on a journey, not knowing where it will take them. Fleeing from darkness and despair, in hope for a better future. They travel vast distances and cross forgotten places. Places that seem so banal that we fail to pay much or any attention to them. Many refugees are traversing and roaming these long forgotten places in and along our woods, roads and backyards, giving them new meaning. What once was a place of insignificance is now a temporary place of rest, a little place of comfort, a crossroads for these visitors.
