OFF THE GRID verwijst naar het grid die de originele balken en kolommenstructuur vormt. De volumes die geplaatst zijn staan uitgelijnd in het grid, door de volumes op bepaalde plaatsen in te duwen komt er voldoende daglicht naar binnen in het nauw omsloten gebouw. OFF THE GRID is een cohousing project en verwijst dus ook naar het feit dat dit net het tegenovergestelde is van “off the grid”. Je bevindt je middenin de stad in een gebouw waar 14-25 medebewoners zijn, waar off the grid net verwijst naar het weg van anderen zijn.

Het project omvat 11 woonunits en verschillende collectieve ruimtes om zo zowel sociale, economische en maatschappelijke voordelen te bieden

OFF THE GRID refers to the grid that forms the original beam and column structure. The volumes that have been placed are aligned in the grid, by pushing in the volumes in certain places sufficient daylight enters the closely enclosed building.
