Waar ik bij mijn bachelorproef een programma met verschillende stijlen heb samengesteld, heb ik voor mijn eindproject mij bewust op de 19e en 20e eeuw gefocust. Als extraatje wordt het bovendien een familiaal concert, want niet alleen zal ik twee werken van de hand van mijn vader – Marc Matthys – spelen, hij zal ook de orkestreductie voor zijn rekening nemen voor het laatste stuk van mijn Masterproef: Rachmaninovs Rapsodie op een Thema van Paganini.

Whereas my bachelor’s recital brought together pieces with very distinct styles, for this graduation programme I have focused on the 19th and 20th centuries. The programme is also a bit of a family affair, because not only will I perform two pieces by my father, Marc Matthys, but he will also arrange the reduction of the final piece on the programme, Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
