Lore Tyrions, Tastbare Transparantie

Een collectie textiel, ontstaan door mijn fascinatie voor de botanische serre, waarin de wisselwerking tussen de transparante structuur met de interne groei en beweging wordt vertaald naar brei- en weefwerken. In dit proces gebruik ik tools die er voor zorgen dat het textiel vooral handmatig kan gemanipuleerd worden zodat er plaats is voor toeval en een natuurlijk gevoel. De weefsels zijn vervaardigd uit bioplastic, gecombineerd met natuurlijke materialen. Hiermee wordt vergankelijkheid benadrukt en tegelijkertijd een aanzet gegeven naar tijdelijke architectuur. Voor dit project werden zowel statische als dynamische materialen gebruikt, waarin het transparante ervoor zorgt dat deze materialen in dialoog treden met de gebruikte technieken.

This textile collection results from my fascination with the botanical greenhouse, with the interaction between transparent structure and internal growth and movement being translated into knit and woven pieces. In this process, I make use of tools that enable me to manipulate the textile manually so that there is room for coincidence and a natural feel. The fabrics are made of bioplastics, in combination with natural materials. This emphasizes transience but also hints towards temporary architecture. For this project, both static and dynamic materials were used, with transparency ensuring a dialogue between materials and techniques.
