‘Bind’ is een persoonlijk onderzoek naar de fysieke en mentale grenzen van menselijk contact. Door middel van tekeningen, schilderijen en ruimtelijk werk onderzoek ik de dynamiek van ruimte en afstand, evenals de complexiteit van benadering en contact. Mijn werk belicht de dualiteit tussen het verlangen naar verbinding en de behoefte aan afstand, en de inherent voortkomende frictie. Het gaat ook over de leegte die ontstaat uit deze tegenstrijdigheid. Met dit project probeer ik dit gevoel te vertalen en iets los te laten.

‘Bind’ is a personal exploration into the physical and mental boundaries of human contact. Through drawings, paintings, and spatial work, I delve into the dynamics of space and distance, as well as the complexity of approach and connection. My work illuminates the duality between the longing for connection and the need for distance, and the inherent friction that arises. It also delves into the emptiness that emerges from this contradiction. With this project I strive to translate this feeling and let go of something.
