Koenraad Botteldoorn (°1995) startte op vijfjarige leeftijd met zijn muziekstudies. Hij begon met piano bij Stefaan Desmet in Bornem en drie jaar later met slagwerk bij Walter De Kunst in Puurs. Aan de Kunsthumaniora Brussel kreeg hij les van Erik Taelemans, Jan Samyn en Jean-Philippe Komac.

Koenraad nam deel aan stages van de Koninklijke Muziekkapellen van Defensie. Hij was actief bij het orkest van de Kunsthumaniora Brussel, Kamerorkest Sinfonietta, Vlaams Symfonisch Orkest, Young Brass Band Willebroek, Harmonieorkest Concordiavrienden Kalfort en onder dirigent Silveer Van den Broeck. Hij soleerde met Nuove Musiche. Bij VUB Symfonisch Orkest is hij vaste slagwerker. Hij werkt geregeld samen met contratenor Peter Ickx en is jaarlijks betrokken bij het Arte Amanti Kamermuziekfestival.

Koenraad volgde masterclasses bij Kuniko Kato, Alex Lipowski, James Baker, Roberto Dani, Jochem van Tol en Mei Yi Lee.

Momenteel studeert hij aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Gent in de slagwerkklas van Wim Konink en Gert D’haese.

Koenraad Botteldoorn (°1995) started his music studies at the age of five. He started playing the piano under Stefaan Desmet in Bornem and three years later took up percussion under Walter De Kunst in Puurs. At the Kunsthumaniora Brussel he was taught by Erik Taelemans, Jan Samyn and Jean-Philippe Komac.

Koenraad enjoyed internships at the Royal Chapels of Defence. He played with the orchestra of the Kunsthumaniora Brussel, Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta, Flemish Symphony Orchestra, Young Brass Band Willebroek, Harmonieorkest Concordia Friends Kalfort and under conductor Silveer Van den Broeck. He was a soloist with Nuove Musiche. He is the permanent percussionist of the VUB Symphony Orchestra. He regularly collaborates with countertenor Peter Ickx and is involved in the Arte Amanti Chamber Music Festival every year.

Koenraad took master classes with Kuniko Kato, Alex Lipowski, James Baker, Roberto Dani, Jochem van Tol and Mei Yi Lee.

He is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent in the percussion class of Wim Konink and Gert D’haese.
