The connotation of images changes when they are placed next to other images. They communicate with each other and create unique, subjective stories.
I use photographs from my daily life as the basis for my drawings. These are drawn on different types of transparent or thin paper, allowing the drawings to be placed on top of each other. I try to enhance the transparency by exhibiting the drawings on windows or light boxes. This creates new windows of overlapping moments. An important motif during the selection process is the idea that there are infinite possibilities, creating collages of drawings and testing how interchangeable each individual drawing is with another. These works are never final, but merely a choice in combining layers. Their status as autonomous works is thereby challenged.
