Textiel wordt gezien als een troostend materiaal dat door iedereen wordt opgezocht in tijden van nood. Op de natuur geïnspireerde kleuren en texturen worden gebruikt om aan te raken. Door mijn eigen modulaire paradijs te creëren, ontvouwt zich een ruimte waar aanraking hyperbelangrijk is. Het daagt ons uit om stil te staan en via het textiel opnieuw contact te maken met onszelf en anderen. Deze veilige ruimte biedt de mogelijkheid om uit te zoomen, een zintuiglijke adempauze te nemen of gewoon gesprekken te voeren met vrienden, waar de installatie ook staat.

Recognizing textiles as a comforting material universally sought in times of distress. Nature inspired colors and curvy textures are being used to invite touch. By creating my own modular paradise, a space unfolds where touch is hyper important. It challenges us to stand still and through the textiles reconnect with ourselves and others. This safe space offers an opportunity to zoom out, take a sensory breather or simply have conversations with friends, anywhere the installation is placed.
