Any indication of absence can serve as evidence for those who are looking. It triggers the imagination, offers the opportunity to reconstruct a narrative around the little bits of information that were (intentionally) collected. While looking for ways to hold on to events in the past, there never seems to be a right method to preserve more than a vague outline.

All that is left is an index of imprints, shaping together merely a pre-owned setting. A decor after the play is over.
