« …filling a porcelain bowl with water and steeping in it little crumbs of paper which until then are without character or form, but, the moment they become wet, stretch themselves and bend, take on colour and distinctive shape, become flowers or houses or people, permanent and recognisable… »
(Swann’s Way, Marcel Proust)

this installation aims to illustrate a tension between the work in movement and the finished, fixed work

a superimposition of drawings that carry the questioning of their own appearance in space, like an infinitely modulable sketchbook, open to all, scaled up to the scale of an exhibition

a giant sketchbook which, unfolded, create a space in which one is invited to be part of the work by walking through it and transforming it as the drawings, like panels, can be moved by visitors, retracted to the side, revealed, creating different compositions, games of superimposition

the collection as a proposal for a solution to create with doubt

to create as one builds up a collection, a collection of images, colors, gestures, interpretations of the world, glances at a particular object

the collection experiences as the sketchbook the same tension of being constantly finite and infinite

it allows for attention to detail and benefits from a creative impulse that pushes one to restore reality without judgement, while remaining in a state of alertness
