L.I.E. is een experimenteel improvisatielaboratorium dat extemporane compositie onderzoekt.

Door middel van een code van gebaren worden vorm en inhoud van de performance gemoduleerd en aangepast in het huidige moment.

Een echte live compositie wordt gecreëerd door improvisatie, dankzij de horizontale collectieve deelname van muzikanten en performers.

L.I.E. is een kleine gemeenschap van kunstenaars die een gemeenschappelijk artistiek onderzoek delen.

Het is bedoeld als een open laboratorium omdat het de performativiteit in zijn eigen praktijk zoekt.
Het creatieve proces duurt de hele duur van de verschillende sessies en beïnvloedt de inhoud van de voorstellingen die in constante evolutie zijn.

Door deze houding drukt de groep zijn identiteit uit in zowel zijn eigenheid als in zijn collectiviteit, wat resulteert in een horizontale live compositie.

De aanwezigheid van multidisciplinariteit in het ensemble geeft de groep empathie en motiveert hen om af te wijken van hun comfortabele pad en zet hen aan tot interactie, het voorstellen en ontwikkelen van ideeën die mogelijk vertaald worden vanuit verschillende media.

Het is een creatieve bevrijding om een geluid te genereren met een actie die op verschillende plaatsen in de performatieve ruimte bestaat.
Het is een extemporeel onderzoek om te proberen muzikale of performatieve routine te vertalen met behulp van een ander instrument.

De gebarencode is bedoeld om te worden beschouwd als een ander instrument naast je ervaring, de instrumenten en objecten die in de zaal zijn verplaatst.
