LET’S SEE, NOW.
THIS MAP SAYS TURN LEFT AT THE SWAMP.
I DON’T SEE ANY SWAMP.
PERHAPS THIS SIGN WILL HELP.
“DANGER…
“QUICK…SAND…
SWAMP”!

WELL, DON’T JUST STAND THERE.
TURN LEFT!
[CHICKENS CLUCKING]
—Daffy Duck’s Fantastic Island, 1983

DANGER! QUICK SAND SWAMP is a research on how to implement the world of cartoons and comics into my work as a graphic designer through deconstructing, analyzing, mimicking and copying their expressive shapes, screamy typography and other visual characteristics.
These function as source material to create my own humoristic scenes, bootlegged comics, clumsy animation videos, soundscapes and so on.
