‘Where I am’ is een drama dat een jong meisje volgt in haar eerste jaar op de kunstschool, waar ze haar eigen weg opgaat en haar studies begint. De film vertelt het verhaal over de grijze zone tussen haar eerste jaren als jongvolwassene en haar laatste als tiener, de goede en de minder goede kanten van die tijd in het leven die vaak wordt bestempeld als “de beste jaren van je leven”.
‘Where I am’ is a drama that follows a young woman in her first year of art school, as she moves out on her own and starts her studies. The film tells the story of the gray zone between her first years as a young adult and her last as a teenager, the good and the less good sides of that time in life often referred to as “the best years of your life”.

The core element of the film is vulnerability. The protagonist is lost; she’s at an age where she has to deal with adult problems without yet having the experience necessary to solve them. It is a period of infinite freedom and intense learning. There is a feeling of nostalgia for a time not yet gone, and at the same time a desperate, almost obsessive pursuit of happiness, only to come to the realization that it’s something she needs to cultivate within herself and through the people around her.
