Deze film is een exploratie naar het gevoel van eenzaamheid. Hierbij speel ik met sobere beelden onder begeleiding van de duistere tonen van muzikanten Jeroen Werbrouck en Arnaud Guichard. De innerlijke zoektocht naar externe validatie speelt zich af op een abstracte en minimalistische manier. Met de hoop om gelijkaardige emoties van licht paniekerende connectie op te roepen. Duik mee in de speelse en eigenzinnige wereld van het melancholisch personage. En de terugkeer naar een kinderlijkheid die hand in hand gaat met een naar liefde zoekende toon.

Babette Goemaere startte vier jaar geleden haar traject aan KASK & Conservatorium. In haar films en tekeningen probeert ze op een speelse en kinderlijke manier om te gaan met moeilijkere thema’s. Ze heeft een passie voor mentale gezondheid en het voorstellen hiervan in film en tv. Zelf maakt ze introspectieve films en tekeningen. Ze hoopt door het onderzoeken van eigen emoties en moeilijkheden andere mensen hun gevoel van eenzaamheid te verminderen. Ook heeft ze een grote passie voor de kunst van het vertellen zoals bijvoorbeeld bij mythes en fabels. Deze interesses combineert ze in haar fantasierijk werk. In de hoop om op die manier een gevoelige snaar te raken.

Babette Goemaere started her school traject at KASK & Conservatorium four years ago. In her films and drawings she tries to tackle harder subjects by being playfull and childlike. She is passionate about mental health and the representation hereof in film and tv. She makes introspective movies and drawings. By examining her emotions and difficulties she hopes to lessen other people’s feeling of loneliness. Her other passion is the art of storytelling, in specific in mythes and fabels. These interesses are combined in imaginative work. In hopes of striking a chord.
