De leeuwerik stijgt op. Kikkers dansen in de regen. De uitgestrekte velden vormen een tapijt van klanken. Alles vertrekt vanuit de muziek van Ralph Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending. Dit interdisciplinair project is een samenspel tussen klank en verf. Harpiste en illustratrice zijn één persoon. De verfborstel danst op het ritme van de muziek die klinkt onder de ondeugende blik van de kikker. Reageert de muziek op de vogel of de vogel op de muziek?
The lark takes off. Frogs dance in the rain. The vast fields form a tapestry of sound. Everything begins with the music of Ralph Vaughan Williams: The Lark Ascending. This interdisciplinary project is an interplay between sound and paint. Harpist and illustrator are one person. The paintbrush dances to the rhythm of the music that sounds under the mischievous gaze of the frog. Does the music respond to the bird or the bird to the music?
