Ann De Keersmaecker, a bartender's shift

In the past year, I went from bar to bar. I placed myself somewhere between bars.

Like a bartender.

I served drinks, operated the cash desk and chatted around.

Switching between working and becoming.

Constantly on the move from one bar’s threshold to another.

I sat on bar stools and sofas … placing and re-placing myself and the chairs.

I actually exchanged chairs between nearby bars.

They are shifted now.
