Amély Mondy, VLUCHT.

Vluchtpunt is a celebration of voluntary simplicity. A personal collection of  places where I go for intentionally doing one thing at a time.

The name is a reference to one of the principal elements in the science of perspective. Vluchtpunt -direction point/vanishing point- is the point where two parallel lines disappear out of a drawing canvas.

A point where two lines meet.

I am so rarely focused on one thing at the same time, that this voluntary simplicity is often out of my hyperconnected comfort zone, my daily drawing. But it’s exactly those places where I find direction and headspace, real connection and energy.

Places where I can change the world, simply by changing myself. Moments in which I choose to be connected to my surroundings and to  myself. Times when I don’t have to have anything.

That’s where my vluchtpunt is.
