Meisjes met geelgroene kattenogen. Moeiteloos banen ze zich een weg doorheen het donker. Roofdieren, simultaan sluipend door de oude stad. Nauwelijks merkbaar. Geuren afspeurend. Hun langgerekte lijven onwrikbaar voortbewegend.

Meisjes met geelgroene kattenogen wiens gezang de lucht doet trillen. Ze veranderen het bloed van hun minnaar in een mythische rivier waar ze iedere dag in baden. Waden door het water met zachte pas. Hun neuriën klinkt harder, woester wanneer de avond valt.

Sappho, de zoetzingende. Drijft op de nacht als een eiland in het midden van een grote zee. Niet in staat tot zinken. Een kalme augustuswind smelt over haar scherpe gelaat, door de ouderdom geadeld. Hij ontbindt haar, lost haar op. Duwt haar de duisternis in.

Laag na laag na laag.

Maidens with feline eyes of yellow-green, glide with ease through the shadows unseen. As predators, they silently prowl through the aged town, undetected and with senses abound. Their lithe frames move with steady grace, seeking out scents with an unwavering pace.

Maidens with feline eyes of yellow-green, whose melodic song trembles the serene. They transform their lover’s blood with a touch, into a mythical river where they bathe so much. Through the water, they wade with a gentle gait, and as night falls, their hums grow louder, more wild and innate.

Sappho, the sweet-singer, afloat in the night, an island in a vast sea, bathed in moonlight. Immune to sinking, she drifts with ease, as a calm August breeze caresses her with a pleasing tease. Her weathered face, a testament to age, dissolves into the darkness, layer after layer, a poetic stage.
