in this performance, music does not seek to affirm an identity
but rather to inhabit its dissolution

identity is not a fixed point
but a liquid, changing state
a substance that adapts, spills, and oozes between the margins of what we believe ourselves to be

we move among multiple selves
voices that coexist, that sometimes contradict
but do not exclude each other: they overlap, reflect, and deform each other

there is no correct way to listen
just as there is no definitive way to be
every sound is a mask that falls away when it is spoken
every gesture is an action that vanishes as soon as it appears
